I LOVE green juice (which is weird because I also HATE spinach and kale). While we were moving my juicer was boxed up and I had to buy juice, which just wasn’t the same, plus it’s really expensive. Now that almost everything is unpacked, I decided to break the ol’ girl out and make a delicious juice!
I have the Omega 8004 juicer which is great for leafy ingredients, such as kale, so that makes it perfect for green juice but not so perfect if you wanted to juice a pineapple. Make sure you do a lot of research before buying a juicer to make sure you get the one that will fit your needs the best.
This recipe makes about 750ml of juice. I usually split this between 2 mason jars, so I can enjoy some now and some later on. The green juice will last for 2-4 days in your fridge!
- 6 leaves of Kale
- Small handful of Spinach
- 5-6 sprigs of Parsley
- 4 Celery Sticks
- 1/2 English Cucumber
- 2 Apples
- 1/2 Lemon
- 1-2 Inches of Ginger
Cut all ingredients into cubes or sticks so they fit into the machine. You do not need to worry about removing seeds, stems, or peels. Alternate ingredients as you put them into the juicer so that the machine does not get clogged. Here is a time-lapse of me making my green juice!
Cheers to a delicious and healthy snack!
